“My name is Michele Machetti, I’m the director at Il Giglio since 1995. I actually grew up into this place as I was just 19 years old when I decided to take over this adventure together with my parents. I’m also a professional sommelier and take care of the restaurant’s cellar – that in Montalcino is something very relevant.
“Wine is one of my passions, together with motorbikes, music and travelling. I love reading and running in the countryside and some of our hiking guests may meet me running along the paths they walk through.”
